Michigan State Police are investigating another shooting on a Detroit freeway, one of dozens that have happened since the pandemic began.
In this one, police said a man was shot in the leg when he was attempting to get onto I-96 from the Southfield Freeway or Greenfield Road at about 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver, who wasn't fully aware of his location, said he was shot by another unknown driver so he pulled over and called police. His gunshot wound was treated by Detroit firefighters at the scene.
The man remains in good condition in the hospital.
Lanes of the freeway were closed for hours while police investigated who could have shot the man ... and why.
