(WWJ) Mega Millions fever is sweeping Michigan.
The jackpot is up to $297 million, with the cash option of $204 million. So, if you purchase a ticket, what are your odds of winning the jackpot?
"It is a long shot certainly, but it is something that's fun to think about," Jack Harris, Michigan Lottery spokesperson, told WWJ. "The odds of winning the jackpot are about one in 303 million."
Even if you don't win the jackpot, you have a shot at "life changing cash," according to Harris.
"There are other prizes to win, anywhere from 2 dollars up to a million dollars, and those odds are a little bit better," Harris said.
A one billion dollar lottery ticket was sold at a Kroger in Novi in February to an Oakland County lottery club, the largest jackpot won in Michigan's history.
