(WWJ) -- When compared to last week, there's been little movement in the price at the pump for Michiganders.
According to AAA, says the statewide average for gasoline in Michigan is down 3 cents from one week ago. Drivers are now paying an average of $3.20 per gallon.
That price is one penny less than this time last month. When compared to last year, the average is $1.06 more than last August.
"While the Michigan state average dropped 3 cents last week, gas prices in some metro areas held steady or even increased slightly," said AAA spokesperson, Adrienne Woodland. "High crude prices are likely to keep gas prices above $3 per gallon throughout the summer."
Currently, the average price of gas across metro Detroit is $3.30 -- 2 cents more than last week's average and $1.08 more than this same time in 2020.
-Most expensive gas price averages: Metro Detroit ($3.30), Marquette ($3.28), Ann Arbor ($3.25)
-Least expensive gas price averages: Benton Harbor ($3.10), Grand Rapids ($3.12), Lansing ($3.13)
