(WWJ) Detroit police are looking for a driver involved in a deadly crash overnight.
Investigators say a 28-year-old man was standing outside his car along E. 8 Mile Rd. near Russell, east of I-75, just before 11 p.m. Monday -- when he was hit and killed by an eastbound gray or silver 2006 Dodge Durango.
The SUV driver then fled the scene, police said, and was spotted traveling southbound on Schoenherr, making a left onto Bringard.
Tuesday afternoon, police said they recovered the suspect vehicle -- which was caught on a security camera in the area -- but they're still looking for the driver, who remains at large.
