(WWJ) Police in Wayne County's Harper Woods are searching for a suspect in an early morning shooting that wounded one person.
The Harper Woods Department of Public Safety said it is investigating the crime that happened at around 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, in the 19700 block of Anita, in the area of E. 8 Mile Road and Beaconsfield St.
Police said the single victim suffered gunshot wounds, but that the wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect was wearing a mask and a gray "sweatsuit type outfit," investigators said, but there is no further description of the shooter at this time.
Other details, including circumstances surrounding the shooting and a possible motive, are also unknown as the investigation gets underway.
Police are asking for the public's help.
