HARRISON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) – The search is on for a group of suspects who allegedly broke into a Macomb County marijuana packaging facility last week.
Macomb County Sheriff's deputies were called to POPs, a cannabis processing and packaging facility on Production Drive, near I-94 and S. River Road, on May 8 after an alarm went off at the business.
Security cameras showed several suspects showing up in a white SUV. Authorities say they stole numerous items from the business, but officials didn't say what was taken.
Detroit police helped the sheriff's office track the white SUV to Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit, where surveillance cameras showed the suspects getting inside the same SUV used in the burglary, around 10:30 p.m. that night.
Photos released by the sheriff's office show four different men at the scene, along with the letters "SRT" in black on the back right side of the SUV.
