The victim alerted police to the vehicle theft after Martin and Plovie drove off with the car and the check they wrote bounced.

MSP said in a press release that the classic car has a historical Michigan registration plate on the back and a confederate flag decorative license plate mounted on the front.

A distinctive, large crack is also present on the hood of the car that splits through the gold firebird decal on the hood, state police said.

Photos of the Martin and Plovie were provided by police, who said warrants were already out for their arrest — additional charges are pending.

Anyone with information about the couple's whereabouts have been asked to call the MSP Marshall Post at 269-558-0500.
