PONTIAC, Mich. (WWJ) – Two men and a woman are murder charges for the torture and murder of a homeless Pontiac man, whose body was found dumped near a lake last week.
Brian Catorie Bonner, 41; Alice Marie Anthony, 50; and Romaro Lee Wilson, 28, have all been charged with open murder and concealing the death of Tobby Robert Farrington of Pontiac.
Farrington, 50, was found with a plastic bag over his head and wrapped in a bed comforter near Terry Lake in Pontiac on Friday, March 25. A person walking by called 911 when they saw an arm and a leg jutting out from under the comforter.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says Farrington was nude and had been badly beaten and stabbed multiple times.
Officials said Farrington was stabbed in the chest, side and neck, then strangled with rope. Authorities said the cause of death was asphyxiation.
“It is so incredibly sad to see people’s inhumanity to one another,” Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said. “This kind of senseless, extreme violence will not be tolerated, and I look forward to them being held accountable.”

Investigators believe the death happened inside a home near Saginaw and Woodward in Pontiac.
Farrington had been staying at the home, getting drugs from Anthony in exchange for “performing odd jobs around the house,” the sheriff’s office said. Anthony and Wilson lived in the home, according to the sheriff’s office, and Bonner was a frequent visitor.
Police officials believe Anthony, a grandmother, became angry with Farrington over a financial transaction between them.
Bonner, Anthony and Wilson are all being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail. They are scheduled to appear in court on April 12.
Authorities found Farrington’s next of kin in Virginia
