WARREN (WWJ) -- Police are looking for a second suspect involved in the deadly Warren gas station shooting last week and Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to his arrest.
The man in question is 21-year-old Christopher Slade, according to the Warren Police Department.
Slade is 6'4" tall and weighs 200 pounds -- police also consider him armed and dangerous. He is currently facing murder and gun charges in the death of 46-year-old Talal Shamo.
Shamo was shot and killed Wednesday, March 23, at the Marathon gas station on Ryan Road, just north of 8 Mile Road.
Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer said Slade was in the victim's car twice on the day of the homicide, according to surveillance footage.
"We know that the victim and the two suspects in this case certainly know each other," said Dwyer. "We believe that this possibly could've been a drug deal gone bad."
The other suspect in the homicide, 22-year-old Joshua Carter, turned himself in on Tuesday and has been arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and a felony gun charge.
Dwyer says they believe Slade is still in the area.Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to Slade's arrest. You can remain anonymous.
