ADDISON TWP. (WWJ) -- A Northern Oakland County woman was killed in a single vehicle crash on Monday in Addison Township.
The victim, identified as 55-year-old Kimberly Hartman of the Leonard, was pronounced dead on the scene on Lake George Road near Drahner, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
An initial investigation found the the woman was driving a 2007 Ford F150 when south of Lake George just before 5:30 a.m. when the pickup left the roadway and hit a tree.
Officials said Hartman was not wearing a seatbelt.
No one else was hurt.
While it's still not clear what may have caused the driver to veer off the road, the OSCO said it is not believed that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
An investigation by the Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is ongoing.
