It sounds like the opening of an episode of “Law & Order: SVU” – a man and his child enjoying some time at a local creek when a black plastic bag floats by with what appears to be a human foot hanging out of it.
This scene didn’t play out in a Hollywood script though. Rather, it was a real life occurrence in Overfield Township, Penn., over the weekend.
Luckily though, this story has a happier-than-expected ending, albeit a puzzling one.
What was thought to be a dead body turned out to be a discarded sex doll, according to the Tunkhannock Township Police Department, who discovered the true nature of the floating object once it was retrieved.
A TTPD representative told the media that the foot that originally caused the uproar was “extremely lifelike.”
So far, Pennsylvania State Police say it is unknown why the sex doll was dumped in the creek.
