The Forecast for what is expected to be Hurricane Laura in the Gulf keeps moving further west along the Louisiana coast.
For the second time today, the National Hurricane Center shifted the track for Tropical Storm Laura. Forecasters are now calling for a landfall close to Lafayette, Louisiana Wednesday into Thursday.
If that track holds up, the eye of the storm would come ashore about 100 miles away from New Orleans.
While that keeps New Orleans on the side of the storm with the more severe impacts, the further that landfall happens, the less impact Southeast Louisiana will feel.
The Hurricane Center admits that it is not sure, however, what will eventually happen.
The Hurricane Center now says Marco will become a hurricane in the Gulf tomorrow.
