Audubon's nutria predicts six more weeks of winter

Groundhog day came to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and Phil the Groundhog came out of his hole, with a little help from a handler and a few hundred on hand, and did not see his shadow.  

If you take Phil's word, winter will end early.  

However, our own winter pronosticator, Parish, a nutria at the Audubon Zoo found her own way outside early Sunday morning.  

And she saw her shadow.  

So...  According to the Cajun Groundhog, Parish: New Orleanians should expect six more weeks of winter and should keep those jackets handy for the upcoming Carnival season!
