Twenty-seven of the Mystic Krewe of Nyx's float lieutenants have resigned after krewe founder and captain Julie Lea refused to step down, according to The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.
The lieutenants had demanded Lea's resignation after her post to the krewe's social media page that included the phrase "#ALLLIVESMATTER."

Huh. Krewe of Nyx doing an All Lives Matter post. Crazy that a Mardi Gras krewe did something racist pic.twitter.com/N38ioqfbJu

"All lives matter" is a phrase that has appeared in criticism of the "Black lives matter" movement that began to draw awareness to unequal treatment of African-Americans by police.

Lea, a former police officer, said she was unaware of the phrase's origins.

According to the bylaws of the Nyx organization, Lea cannot be removed, and if she were to resign, she would appoint a successor.
