The drawbridge on the Causeway malfunctioned this afternoon, briefly closing traffic in both directions. Crews were able to get the bridge shut on the north-bound side, but the south-bound side is still closed.
The Northbound side of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge is now open leaving the Southbound side still closed due to mechanical issues. Use alternate route. Updates to follow.
