A suspect didn’t get far with ill-gotten bank money during a morning robbery attempt.
The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reports the suspect entered the First Bank and Trust location on Poydras and O’Keefe this morning and handed a note to a teller.
His note also contained the threat that he was armed.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Randall Berry, didn’t get very far as dye packs placed in the money exploded before Berry could leave the bank.
Berry was ultimately arrested without incident.
There is no word if he was actually armed.
