Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards got to announce some rare positive news at his daily media briefing on the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
"We do have on the ground now, the 150 ventilators that were approved from the strategic national stockpile," said Edwards. "They came in this morning."
However, he cautioned that the New Orleans Region is still likely to run out of hospital capacity before the pandemic threat subsides.
"April the 6th is when we believe that we will exceed the bed capacity in the Orleans/Jefferson Parish region," said Edwards.
