The body of Jose Ponce Arreola has been removed from the rubble of the partially-collapsed Hard Rock hotel.

Rescue crews removed Arreola’s remains on Monday, ten months after the building under construction, collapsed. Arreola was one of three workers killed in the collapse. The body of Quinnyon Wimberly was removed earlier this month. Anthony Margrette was the first body removed.

The hotel’s owner and construction company, 1031 Canal Development, blamed delays on a variety of issues including finding a contractor to demolish the partially-collapsed building and insurance for the demolition following the collapse.

After Arreola’s body was removed, New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell tweeted her condolences for the family saying, “We are grateful to finally have some measure of closure for both families, who had to experience an intolerable delay.”

She also says, “Moving forward we will continue to hold ownership accountable, at every level. No one wanted it to be this way, but we are grateful to the recovery team for finally getting us to this point.
