Bobby Hebert says it is "scary that" New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton says he has tested positive for the coronavirus.

"That was kind of shocking to tell you the truth," the Cajun Cannon said. "It just goes to show you that no one is invincible to particularly get this virus."

He hopes it sends a strong message that everyone needs to protect themselves.

"I think this gets a lot of people's attention."

Hebert urges everyone to heed officials' warnings, and hopes this helps Saints fans get the message.

"You are talking about a household name... that's very impactful," he insisted.

Payton announced Thursday that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and wanted to share his story in hopes of getting more people to take protective measures.

Appreciate the well wishes. I'm feeling better and fortunate to not have any of the respiratory symptoms. 4 more days at home.#BEATCovid pic.twitter.com/vvjbnqoeZx
