It's almost here: actual autumn weather! And a lot of people will notice the change by the end of tonight.
"This is going to be the real deal," said LSU Health New Orleans climatologist Barry Keim.
Keim says the front will be sweeping across the state during the day today, and the crowds at tonight's prep football games are going to feel it:
"High school football is a big thing in south Louisiana -- just be prepared for starting temperatures in the 70s, dropping into the 60s. It's going to be very breezy," he said.

And this front will have some staying power.
"It's going to hang in there all through the weekend and I would argue even through the earlier part of next week," said Keim. "I would say Monday, Tuesday, maybe even into Wednesday, we're going to be looking at cooler than normal temperatures."
