The husband of WVUE Anchor/Reporter Nancy Parker, killed in a tragic plane crash last year, is suing the Federal Aviation Administration over the incident.

Glynn Boyd alleges the department was negligent, allowing the plane piloted by Franklin J.P. Augustus to fly even through it had numerous mechanical issues.

Boyd even points to a delay in the flight, the day of the crash.

Another point is the craft was only supposed to carry one person as it was a high performance skywriting aircraft.

Boyd’s claim also states the FAA should never have approved letting Parker board the airplane.

The FAA has yet to respond to requests for comment from the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate.
