After a fairly pleasant Sunday afternoon, local weather expert, WWL-TV meteorologist, Jay Galle', says the weather is about to take a turn for the worse.

"Stronger storms may arrive late Sunday night," says Galle'. "Showers, storms and the threat for severe weather will develop this evening and overnight."

"This evening will bring a  slight risk for severe weather to the region, with the chance for heavy rain, flash flooding, gusty winds, hail and even an isolated tornado. And, the severe weather risk will persist into Monday."

"Scattered showers and a few storms tomorrow will begin to wane into the evening and over night hours heading into Tuesday morning."

Galle' says we should dry out for the rest of the work week, with a slight rain chance reappearing next weekend.
