Coronavirus deaths in Louisiana surpassed 1,800 today, with 44 more deaths reported by the Louisiana Department of Health.
The state now has 1,802 COVID-19 deaths recorder.
Total cases increased 374 to 27,660. That's a bigger increase than in the last few days, but not nearly has many as Louisiana had been seeing daily just a few weeks ago.
There are 37 fewer patients hospitalized, totaling 1629.
The number of patients on ventilators stayed the same at 244.
Jefferson Parish today sent a notification that there were zero new deaths reported in Jefferson.
