Cops say a man was walking in the French Quarter Tuesday night, when attackers grabbed, punched and robbed him.
It happened just before 11:00pm near the corner of Dauphine Street and Toulouse Street.
The 35-year-old victim told police one suspect grabbed him by the neck.
"The victim was traveling on foot when approached from behind," according to police reports. "One of the suspects placed the victim in a chokehold. Another suspect struck the victim to the face with a closed fist multiple times. The third suspect went inside the victim’s pocket."
Investigators say the suspects fled with the victim's phone and money clip.
