New Orleans Police are investigating a murder after finding a man shot dead on I-10.
"The incident was reported at 2 a.m. on Interstate 10 East at Orleans Avenue," Public Information Officer Gary Scheets said in a news release. "One victim was discovered deceased at the scene."
He says the dead man had been shot multiple times.
I-10 eastbound was closed between Tulane Avenue and Orleans Avenue until about 5:00am.
"While the victim was shot multiple times, it is not currently known if the victim was shot while driving on the interstate," Scheets wrote.
