After the day off on Saturday, reporting numbers for the Louisiana Department of Health show more than 1300 new cases of COVID-19 in the state with a total of 157,455 cases in all.
A total of 33 people succumb to the viral infection bringing the state total 5065.
But the good news is 43 fewer people are hospitalized and 10 fewer people are on mechanical ventilators.
