The metro area is getting buffeted with thunderstorms that have already prompted tornado warning north of Lake Pontchartrain.
It's just a start to some possible severe weather in the forecast for the next few hours.
"After the cluster of storms ends by about 9-10 p.m., the rest of the night looks mostly cloudy, humid and not as cool with lows around 70 degrees," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexandra Cranford.
"Another line of strong thunderstorms is set to sweep in Wednesday morning. Timing right now looks like roughly 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. A few damaging wind gusts and possible hail could accompany the line of storms."

90% chance of morning strong to severe storms with strong winds, hail and heavy rain. Then partly cloudy breezy and cooler with a 30% chance of rain. Highs: 80. Wind W 8-15 mph.
