
A New Orleans cop is off the force and facing charges after his arrest in Slidell. WWL-TV reports Daniel Frazher is facing battery and other charges after striking a Slidell Police officer Wednesday.
New Orleans Police told the TV station that Frazher was intoxicated when Slidell officers responded to a call at an apartment complex on Town Center Drive shortly after midnight Wednesday morning. Authorities say Frazher head-butted an officer, cutting his lip.

Slidell Police booked Frazher for battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.
NOPD suspended Frazher immediately after the incident, and subsequently fired him.
