The City of New Orleans is working on a program to give drivers a 'fresh start'.

The City Council has unanimously passed a resolution calling for a "Ticket Amnesty Day," giving folks an incentive to take care of their outstanding traffic tickets.

The amnesty day would allow drivers to settle with the city without any the added penalties.

Details of the plan have yet to be decided, but the plan is to give drivers a break and bring in quite a large amount of revenue to the city.
