Protesters in New Orleans took to the street to have their voice heard over the death of George Floyd by a white Minneapolis police officer.

Friday afternoon they stood on the corner of Esplanade and Claiborne holding up signs that read "can't breathe" while chanting "no justice, no peace".

George Floyd was killed when Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, was seen in a video kneeling on Floyd's neck as he was gasping for air while being detained by other officers.
