NOPD detectives investigate a Thursday night homicide in the Upper Ninth Ward.
Police responded to a call of shots fired about 9:38 p.m. in the 2100 block of Desire Street. When they arrived they found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
The name of the victim has not yet been released. Police are still searching for a suspect and motive to the fatal shooting.
