The New Orleans Police Department says a shooting in Central City this afternoon left a child injured.
"Initial reports show an 8-year-old juvenile male victim suffering a reported graze gunshot wound" according to NOPD spokesman Aaron Looney. "The victim was transported to an area hospital via EMS for treatment."
Police say they were notified of the incident shortly before 2:00 p.m.
