Life Tabernacle Church Pastor Tony Spell, who was given house arrest after conducting services for nearly two-thousand parishioners, in defiance of a social distancing mandates, left his home this morning to preach to his flock.

Defying an order to stay at home, Spell appeared at Life Tabernacle as church goers sang and cheered “I stand with Pastor Spell.”

Earlier this week Spell turned himself into the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office after he was sighted backing up a bus and nearly hitting a protestor out from of his church.

According to the New Orleans Advocate, Spell was released on house arrest under the condition that he refrain from “any and all criminal conduct, including but not limited to strictly abiding by the all emergency orders issued by the Governor of the State of Louisiana.”

Spell had his ankle monitor on as he preached.  A judge will have to decide if he violated terms of his release.
