Three teachers at John Ehret High School on the Westbank have been asked to stay home, after they recently traveled to countries where coronavirus has been a problem, the Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.

The teachers have been asked to stay home for two weeks, the recommended quarantine period when the virus typically incubates in the human body and is transmissible to other people.

A letter sent home to parents said none of them had shown any symptoms of the disease.

Two of the three teachers were at school Monday while the third was still traveling. The school said it will conduct a "deep cleaning" of the campus today.
