Parasol's Restaurant and Bar, an Irish Channel institution, will go dry at midnight tonight, reports The New Orleans Advocate.

The report says a dispute over taxes the establishment owes the city has prevented them from renewing their liquor license. The owner told The Advocate they are working to square things away with the city. In the meantime, the restaurant at the corner of Constance and Third streets will continue to operate as normal. Parasol's frequently appears on lists of the city's best roast beef po-boys.

Aside from the roast beef po-boy, the bar is also famous for the annual St. Patrick's Day block party, which packs the street with green revelry.
