It was a game that had the Who Dat Nation on the edge of their seats, but in the end, it wasn't meant to be.
We talked to a few right after it ended and they were obviously dejected.
"I'm not okay, I'm sick man, that's our Saints," he said. "It was a great game, it was a hard fought game but we just gave up too many big plays, right?"
This man also had a reason why we lost the game to San Francisco.
"They couldn't put it together at the end," he said. "The pass interference and the penalties are killing them."
"When we scored there was a little too much time left on the clock," another fan said.
"We will see them again in the NFC Championship game and we'll beat them and move on to the Super Bowl," she said.
Now the Saints lick their wounds before playing the Indianapolis Colts here at home on Monday Night football in one week.
