"We'll likely see scattered showers and storms by midday and into the afternoon," says WWL-TV meteorologist Chris Franklin.
"Most, if not all, of the rain activity will be ending by this evening and we look to remain rather quiet tonight."
Chris puts the chance for showers and a few t-storms at 30 percent Monday afternoon before a very dry and hot stretch heading into next week and the Memorial Day weekend.
"Highs for the first time this year will top out at 90° and above," says Franklin. "Stay cool and stay hydrated!!
