Severe weather brings hail, wind gusts to metro N.O.

Severe thunderstorms move across the metro area Wednesday. Reports of hail in downtown New Orleans and Algiers come as the line of thunderstorms sweeped across the city.

Entergy’s power outage map shows more than 2,000 people in Bywater and Lower Ninth Ward are without power.

     Orleans, moving northeast at 45 mph.

     HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
