Police on both sides of the lake are investigating shootings this evening.
Shortly before 6:30, New Orleans Police were notified of a shooting in the 7300 block of Stratmore Drive in New Orleans East. Police say an adult male victim arrived a local hospital by private conveyance.
On the Northshore this afternoon, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's office says a woman was shot and critically wounded. That happened shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Westminster Drive near Slidell.
That victim was taken to a hospital by private means. The victim, who was in critical condition, was transported to a southshore hospital.
