About 15 years ago, a limb on the tree in Louellen Berger’s front yard began to “drape” across her front lawn.

“I thought ‘What a great place to just nestle a little skeleton,’” she said. ”That would be kind of fun.”

She named that skeleton “Lazy bones,” put up a couple more that year and her neighbors loved them.

Every year since she’s added more and now her home’s display of dozens of skeletons on St. Charles has become a Halloween landmark.

Berger’s front yard features several skeletons named and designed to be parodies of celebrities, important figures and various pop culture references.
