St. Tammany Parish School Board voted 11-4 Thursday to ask for the resignation of Sharon Lo Drucker as a result of her arrest for shoplifting $58.25 worth of goods from a Walmart.
The 53-year-old District 9 member refused once again on Thursday night.
Drucker pled not guilty to misdemeanor theft in October and is currently in a year-long diversion program.
Drucker said last wedk that she takes full responsibility for her actions and the diversion program treatment does not conflict with her commitment as a school board member.
Drucker re-iterated that commitment Thursday night, refusing to step down from her seat.
