A summer-like heat for today and record heat for your Memorial Day weekend.
WWL-TV’s Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says, “The cold front has stalled over us this morning, but it will retreat back north this afternoon. An area of high pressure will be south of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. This will provide us with plenty of sunshine with only a stray shower possible. We will be hotter and humid today with record high temperatures in the lower 90s. The record is 91 set back in 2012. The humidity will make it feel like the mid-90s.”
