Sunday parades change schedule in New Orleans

With the potential for severe thunderstorms in the New Orleans area on Sunday, the city announced Saturday afternoon that some Sunday parades will begin early.

  • Okeanos will now roll at 10:00 a.m. (originally scheduled for 11:00 a.m.)
  • Mid-City will now roll at 11:00 a.m. or following Okeanos (originally scheduled for 12:00 p.m.)
  • Thoth will now roll at 11 a.m. or following Mid-City (originally scheduled for 12:00 p.m.)

Bacchus remains as scheduled. It is set to start at 5:15.

Two Metairie parades that were scheduled for Sunday, the krewes of Athena and Pandora, announced Friday afternoon that they will Monday evening.
