The Terrebonne Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness announced Sunday morning that the mandatory evacuation notice for Lower Dularge below Falgout Canal has been lifted.

While the levees in that location were overtopped yesterday, prompting the evacuation notice, they held and no homes were flooded.  In addition, the contractor has been working to shore up the weak spots in this levee and the work is just about completed. 


Parish President Gordy Dove advises residents returning to their homes in this area to proceed with caution because there may be water over the road in places.  There is still water on Brady Road and law enforcement is in place there at this time.

The extreme lower end of Hwy 315 past the floodgate is still flooded, but the water is slowly receding.
