Lafourche Parish Sheriff's deputies arrested a Thibodaux man for allegedly raping a woman on numerous occasions.
25-year-old Jose Nunez-Vasquez, was arrested Monday.
Nunez-Vasquez allegedly forced the woman to have sex against her will. The woman was with Nunez-Vasquez during that entire period and said she initially didn’t report the incidents out of fear of retaliation from Nunez-Vasquez.
Eventually the woman did go to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Following an investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for his arrest. Through investigation, detectives learned that on several occasions the alleged rapes occurred over the past two weeks,
Nunez-Vasquez was arrested booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. He was charged with four counts of Second Degree Rape. He is currently being held without bail.
Due to the nature of the allegations, no further details will be released on this investigation.
