The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide in Marrero.

"At around 11:50 am, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of Gladstone Drive in reference to a welfare check," said sheriff's office spokesman Capt. Jason Rivarde. "Upon their arrival, the deputies found two male victims inside the residence, and saw that the residence had been partially burned."

Capt. Rivarde says the men had injuries that led to their deaths being classified as homicide, pending confirmation during autopsy.

The sheriff's office says anyone who has information should call JPSO Homicide Section at (504) 364-5300, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP).
