New Orleans police say two burglars broke into a Gentilly home, but fled when the homeowner armed himself and pulled the trigger.
"Two unknown black males forced their way into a residence in the 5900 block of Chamberlain Drive," NOPD said in a release. "The homeowner was in his bedroom and armed himself with a shotgun."
They say he heard noises after the burglars got into the house.
"(He) fired one shot hitting the ceiling in his hallway."
As you can see in the above video the suspects took off.
It happened July 10, 2019 around 9:30pm.
