Authorities have made an arrest in shooting that injured an 18-year-old woman and a two-month old baby.

JPSO deputies responded to a shooting incident in the 300 block of Glen Della Drive in Avondale around 5:30 yesterday.

They discovered the female was shot in the shoulder, and a two-month-old female who was struck by debris in the foot.  The 18-year-old victim underwent surgery yesterday and was listed in stable condition, while the two-month old was treated and released.

Following the investigation, two people were arrested for their roles in the shooting, 31-year-old Kyana Traylor, and a 16-year-old male.  Traylor has been arrested for being an accessory to aggravated battery, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, and aggravated assault with a firearm along with multiple attachments and warrants.  The 16-year-old was booked with aggravated battery, aggravated criminal damage to property, and illegal possession of a firearm by a juvenile.

Investigators believe that the adult victim was at a party and may have been involved in a physical altercation with Traylor, after which she attempted to leave.

Police say after the victim entered a vehicle, occupied by several people including two-month-old, Kyana Traylor pulled a handgun and pointed it at the victim.  Traylor then allegedly handed the gun to the male suspect, who apparently fired into the vehicle at least once, according to cops.
