Fifth District NOPD detectives are searching for two women wanted in an aggravated battery by cutting that occurred on in the evening of June 29 at a store on St. Claude Avenue near Louisa Street.
17-year-old Aakayla Love and 18-year-old Kayiana Williams, along with an unknown female, are accused of attacking the victim after being caught shoplifting from the location. During the altercation the victim was cut in the face with a blade. All the subjects fled the location.
Love is currently considered a runaway and is known to hang out with Williams. Minutes before the assault, the pair were observed shoplifting from a store in the 3200 block of Saint Claude Avenue.
NOPD is asking the public's help for information on this incident or/and whereabouts of the suspects as well as the identity of the third suspect.
