12,000 Who Dats filed into Tulane’s Yulman Stadium to watch their beloved Black & Gold suit up for a training camp practice.  Players were not in full pads and there were a few names missing from the uptown practice:

T Terron Armstead

WR Emmanuel Butler

WR Keith Kirkwood

TE Alize Mack

WR/RS Deonte Harris

DT David Onyemata

OL Ethan Greendidge

S Chris Banjo

CB Patrick Robinson

S T.J. Green

FB Michael Burton

The 6th round draft pick out of Rutgers also had a really nice interception off Teddy Bridgewater the other day and Coach Sean Payton noted the safeties’ good hand and football IQ.

Unfortunately for Brees, his 2nd pick of camp shorty followed when LB Demario Davis hauled in a pass that deflected off of Eli Apple’s helmet.

McCoy in the lead at center?

For the 5th straight practice Erik McCoy started at center with the first team offense. The 6ft4, 303 pound rookie has an edge to him as well. He’s had a handful of verbal exchanges with defensive players which is kind of surprising for a first year player; but a nice one.  McCoy may be a newbie but isn’t going to let anyone push him around.  He was in a rotation with Cameron Tom and Nick Easton to start camp, but it’s been all McCoy of late.

Morstead shows of his leg

Can’t Guard Mike put on a pass catching clinic on Saturday, and Sunday night Thomas Morstead showed why he’s earned the name “LEGATRON”, booming kick after kick high into night sky, with a number coming down inside the 5 yard line.

@thomasmorstead unleashing rain makers today at Yullman I think the ball grabs some precipitation on it's way down. My goodness.

Besides Brees, Morstead is the only player left from the 2009 Super Bowl squad.  He is an animal in the gym and does not appear to have lost his power or accuracy at age 33.
